Ok, so how many times have you said. "I wish somebody would make..." or "if I had access I'd my character into a MEGO"... Well now you can.

We make a limited run of the action figures of your choice!  That’s right you get to create your own action- Figure and bring it to market! You get 500!
It works like this: we take your idea and make it into an action figure for you. Your comic, your custom, or any other non-copy written or public domain character you choose! If you have a character or know of one you would want made this is the way to do it. You get 500 to do with as you wish! Sell them, trade them, or give them away there yours!
 This can be a team effort, go in with a group make a figure you love! Castaway toys will help you design the figure and it will come to you complete and packaged.  A figure will include 1 body, 1 head, 1 outfit or costume, one pair of boots/shoes and one complete package. We ask that a rough idea be submitted before the reward is approved. All individual components produced in excess of the initial 500 will be the sole property of Castaway Toys to be sold at its discretion, competed figures will not be sold without the backer’s permission. Castaway toys will not sell your figure without your permission!

so glad to be back...

Well we are back folks and it's been a busy, hectic, crazy, fantastic day... I am humbled at the outpouring from my friends. Big thanks to the MEGO Museum, to Action Figure Insider and to my new partner Craig Owen from the spectacular ZICA toys. I was a little cautious about getting back into making these figures, but you guys and gals are making me feel like we never left...

Ok so here we have nearly 40 year old, just opened, case fresh MEGO Action Jackson's. Standard figures with black hair and beards and Dark or Light Jumpsuits. The one bonus was they are in fact type "0" plastic rivets figures.

Right now we are bundeling these with the 6 case fresh military outfits we had up before, so you get a mint AJ and 6 mint millitary outfits (Army, Navy,Frogman,Aussie Marine, and Ski Patrol) all for $50.We know folks might already have purchased the individual sets, and might not want them again. However, we have a very limited supply of these and we are bundeling first, if we have some left over then we will sell individually.

Yup that's right... after discussing the price with several folks "in the know" for 1/6th scale market, we felt that we might have priced our first foray into 12 inch figure territory a bit high. While sales have been brisk, we are never afraid to take good advice. So what does that mean for you?!


First off if you bought one of these, either the Regular Edition or the Limited Edition pilot you have already been issued a refund for the balance! Yup, it took a while but before we announced this we wanted to take care of those who already "threw down" and as of this morning all orders have been issued the appropriate amount.

We were shocked that the regular Purple edition of the Cast-a-Way Toys 8" retro style action figures of The Phantom have recently been sold on eBay consistently for $100 or more... this appears to be a new record.

We feel honored we could sell you guys figures for $20 and then see them go for $128. Makes us feel like we gave you your money's worth. haha. We've been kicking some ideas around for another Phantom. We'll keep you posted.
